The quality of our content has been noted by the media. For example, in its April, 2004 issue, Financial Advisor magazine (published in the UK) noted that "Prudence requires that [you] invest widely and wisely...www.indexinvestor.com gives invaluable advice to investors on asset allocation." Also, in its March 10, 2003 issue, Barron's evaluated a number of online asset allocation and investing sites, including www.morningstar.com and www.smartmoney.com. The Index Investor was one of only two sites that received the highest possible rating for content quality. The Barron's article noted that "unlike some topics of investor education, there are relatively few sites that cover asset allocation in depth. Many are short on content, and badly designed. But there are several worthy of your attention... If you're looking for loads of editorial content on asset allocation, check out IndexInvestor.com... As the name implies, its model portfolios consist of index funds and exchange traded funds. The site's content is thorough, and its investing rationale is explained carefully." Our writing on asset allocation has also been featured in the Wealth Management Report, produced by the Wharton School and the Institute for Private Investors.
Comments from our subscribers also testify to the quality of our content. Here is a small sampling of them:
"I truly enjoy your publication and web site. The writing is superb, the analysis is excellent, and everything is presented with appropriate disclosure and humility (qualities usually absent in financial writings- few people do as good a job as you at explaining the assumptions and potential weaknesses of their own work). My subscription fee will probably be the best money I'll ever spend on investment advice."
"I really appreciate the site as it is an issue that I have contemplated for some time after working at Fidelity Investments and getting my MBA with a finance focus. I appreciate the level of detail that has gone into the extensive research that you guys perform."
"I am an: ee, mba, type (also did 16 years as a member of Congress) who has been investing for several decades and I think your work is top drawer."
"Once again I get more [from your site and journal] than I am used to from investment advisors.... I am going to recommend your site to everybody on my e mail listings. I only hope they are ready for a life changing view of investing."
"Just a comment. I (a 64 year old PhD in Physics) have been tracking portfolio analysis for over 15 years and I believe your sites are the best and most detailed about the issues involved."
"I must say, I'm very impressed. More than impressed, I'm quite excited at finding this breath of fresh air of no nonsense investing. Thank you for being there."
"I'm a brand new member, and wanted to let you know I think your site is fantastic."
"You have been so kind to accept suggestions for future articles, so here's another one."
"Thanks for your articles. I really enjoy reading them. It has helped me tremendously."
"This is an awesome service, and I am very impressed."
